Dr. Robert Armstrong
graduated from Duke University with a degree in history.
He graduated from the University of North Carolina School of
Medicine. He completed his residency in Neurology at
the University of Virginia Health Sciences Center. He
served as chief resident in the Neurology Department at the
University of Virginia. He also completed fellowship
in Epilepsy and Electroencephalography at the University of
Virginia Health Sciences Center in Charlottesville,
Virginia. He is board certified in Neurology and
Clinical Neurophysiology with added competency in Epilepsy
Monitoring.

Matthew A. Engelbrecht, MD

Dr. Matthew Engelbrecht earned his
undergraduate degree at Duke University. He then
completed his medical school training and his one-year
internship in general medicine at Loyola University of
Chicago before graduating from the Neurology Residency
Program at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
He completed an additional year of training in the treatment
of head and facial pain at the University Headache Center in
Chapel Hill. He is certified with the American Board of
Psychiatry and Neurology.
